At Family First Resource Centre, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Through compassion, care, and a willingness to serve, our volunteers help ensure that no one in our communities has to walk through pregnancy, parenting, or loss alone.
If you have a heart to serve, there is a place for you here.
Whether you feel called to pray, support others, or help behind the scenes, your presence matters.
You don’t need to have all the answers—just a willing heart.
Together, we can create a space where individuals are seen, supported, and never walk alone.
As a Christ-centred organization, our work is rooted in faith, compassion, and a deep belief in the value of every person. Volunteers are asked to support and respect the mission and values of Family First Resource Centre.
All volunteers are guided through the same process:
Application, Interview, Training (depending on role)
This helps ensure we provide safe, consistent, and compassionate care to those we serve.
Prayer Team:
Join our prayer team and support clients, staff, and volunteers by praying on site during mentoring sessions. This role is vital to the heart of our ministry.
Support Worker:
Walk alongside individuals and families experiencing pregnancy, parenting, or loss through compassionate, one-on-one support.
This may include supporting those facing:
Unexpected pregnancy, Infertility,
Pregnancy or infant loss, Single parenting
Training is required:
All support workers complete a Client Care course through Pregnancy Care Canada before serving. This role is not counselling, but offering compassionate, confidential support and accurate information to empower clients.
We welcome both women and men in this role.
Fundraising Committee:
Use your gifts to help plan events, connect with the community, and ensure this work can continue to grow and reach those who need it most.
